Rationale:
Plumbing is one of the most essential parts of building construction. It involves
installing of pipes, fixtures, and other apparatus in buildings to convey and supply water,
as well as to dispose and discharge waste, other liquids, gases, and other substances out
of buildings in a clean, orderly, stable, and sanitary manner to ensure the health and
sanitation of people and environment. Plumbing is a system that influences
sustainability, water and energy efficiency, protection from fire and much more.
The essence of this webinar is to provide the Sanitary Engineering students the
adequate knowledge they need and carry it out not only on their profession, but also
through their daily lives. Since the study of sanitary engineering involves plumbing
systems and fire protection, it is important to participate in online training like this in
order to obtain a clear professional understanding and knowledge of fire safety systems.
Future sanitary engineers must therefore be well trained and prepared to face any future
construction problems.

Activity Description
The PHILIPPINE SOCIETY OF SANITARY ENGINEERS, INC. (PSSE), the
only Accredited Professional Organization for Sanitary Engineers by the Professional
Regulation Commission through Accreditation No. 26, will be conducting an Online
Training in Fundamentals of Plumbing and Fire Protection as Applied to Buildings. The
training program will be held via Zoom Meeting Application on April 17-18, and April
24-25, 2021. The training will be conducted in two batches. The first batch, which will
take place over the first two days, will cover the Basic on Sanitary and Plumbing Applied
to Buildings, followed by the second batch, which will cover the Basic on Fire Protection
System and Fire Science.

After the activity, it is expected that:
