Symptom
• Class 022 is used instead of 023
• Class 023 is missing
• Batch level is incorrect
Environment
• All SAP Release
Reproducing the Issue
There can be different options to see
Cause
• Which batch class is used is depending on the batch level you use.
• Batch level material or batch level client use class 023, batch level plant use class 022
• Which batch level is use you see in customizing transaction OMCT when you press button 'Batch
Level'
Resolution
If already batches are exsiting in system the change of batch level might not be possible. For further details,
see FAQ note 891902.
As long as no batches are existing in system you can change the batch level easy in OMCT in 2 steps:
1. Press Button "Batch Level" to define which level you want to use
2. Press Button "Batch Level -> conversion" to activate the batch level
If the button "Batch Level -> conversion" is active this step was not yet done, when this step was done the
button is greyed out. If you call OMCT and it looks like this

You need to run the conversion to finish the batch level.
