2. What does ‘seize the day, carpe diem’ mean? And how did it affect the
students?
 It means “Seize the day”. The students (boys) become more alert to
what’sgoing on around them.They don’t want to miss any opportunity
that comes their way.
 Their attitude changes because they start to reflect on what they want
to do with their future. They also start to question their
parents’decisions which startto cause friction in the school.
