We have two vendors which seem like good options b. FIE – London or Dublin i. Industry specific placements ii. Cost: $750 for 6 week internship + GEB 4941 class registration iii. Program includes interview, orientation, and 3 contact points with intern mentors iv. Application due May 15 v. Program starts June 8 c. CRCC Asia – China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, India, England i. Industry specific placements ii. Cost: $1595 for 8-week internship + GEB 4941 class registrastion iii. $500 discount for future programs iv. Program includes interview, orientation, language lessons, online curriculum support, mid-internship advising call, weekly group discussions, business webinars, career bridge v. Application due – flexible vi. Program starts – flexible d. Other vendors i. Students can also take this course with other vendors. 2. Internship Course a. We are very close to approving the internship course for international remote internships. I have a meeting on Thursday where I hopefully will have the go ahead. b. I have included a list of assignments below and will send the complete syllabus as soon as it is approved. 3. Promotion a. As soon we get approval, we will send you an announcement and update our website ASSIGNMENTS In order to earn credit for the internship course, students must: 1. apply and be enrolled in the course. 2. pay the required tuicon/fees. 3. conduct themselves in a professional manner at all cmes (see “Internship Expectacons” above.) 4. complete, turn in and earn a passing grade on all assignments. You are required to work with your supervisor to agree on stated learning objeccves. Please write your objeccves ahead of cme and then edit them based on your supervisor's feedback. COMPANY/INDUSTRY PROFILE The purpose of this assignment is for you to understand the organizacon/company you are working and your parccular role within it. This assignment is in the form of a survey or quiz on Canvas. SUPERVISOR INTERVIEW & REFLECTION PAPER This assignment allows you to gain insight into your supervisor's career path. You will need to meet with your supervisor in order to do this assignment. You will need to schedule at least half an hour to talk with your boss and be sure and prepare quescons ahead of cme. INTERNSHIP CONSULTATION WITH AN INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS ADVISOR The check-in with an Internaconal Programs Advisor is designed to help you address your successes and challenges early on in your internship so you can align yourself with resources and improve your performance going forward. In this paper, you will summarize what you have learned, assess how successful you were in achieving your learning objeccves and highlight any other insights you have about that organizacon, industry or career field. UPDATED RESUME & HIREWARRINGTON For this assignment, you will create your HIREWarrington account and upload your resume with your new internship details.
