For Online Learners: The learners are expected to create an online infographic entitled “The Filipino Youth Against Substance Abuse” showcasing learner’s awareness of his self, the circumstances surrounding drug abuse, its effects, and realized initiatives that a Filipino youth can contribute to the society in the fight against substance addiction. The output is to be shared through Facebook Messenger. For Modular and Digital Learners: The learners are expected to create a printed infographic entitled “The Filipino Youth Against Substance Abuse” showcasing learner’s awareness of his self, the circumstances surrounding drug abuse, its effects, and realized initiatives that a Filipino youth can contribute to the society in the fight against substance addiction. The output is to be shared family members and immediate community. GOAL The learner reads a testimonial entitled,” Life changing story of a drug addict” which details the struggles of a teenager against substance abuse. He will demonstrate his understanding of the problem by creating an infographic which details how the specified social issue affects the youth (i.e. his relationship to others, his education, and his everyday life). (MELC- ENGLISH) Using the infographic, the learner shows the different types of substance abuse and how he may apply decision making and resistance skill to prevent it. (MELC- MAPEH) ROLE The learner is an analyst, researcher, illustrator, or an influencer of personal and social awareness and initiatives for global stewardship. AUDIENCE For online learners, the task addresses a wider general public audience thru Facebook Messenger. Offline digital learners and modular learners, on the other hand, address their task to family members and immediate community. SITUATION Your barangay is considered as one of the hotspots of substance abuse in the city. As the chairman of a youth group in your community, you decided to take part in the fight against substance abuse by designing a campaign through creation of infographics showing the important details about substance abuse and how you can prevent them.
