Case Study Guideline
There are totally 5 cases related to Operations Management selected, with different areas of
focus including Introduction of Operations Management and Operations Strategy. Please pick
one case yourself, and answer the questions shown at the end of the case. Please be noted that
you are REQUIRED TO WRITE AN ESSAY on individual basis with 1200-1500 words in
English. Your writing skill will also be assessed.
Don't always think the shorter case is easier, consider if you have enough information to write
up the essay that satisfies the word length requirement.
Proper citation and references are required, plagiarism (copy others effort) is strictly
prohibited and disciplinary action will be taken in case of any suspicious case detected. We
will use software for plagiarism detection-Turnitin.
(We use Turnitin to check content similarity. In terms of Turnitin similarity index, the requirement is <=20% for
a single source. In other words, if your assignment is >20% similar to any single source, it will be considered as
plagiarism and you will fail the subject.)

CHAN_TAI_MAN_CASE_A.pdf as file name and CHAN_TAI_MAN_CASE_A as
submission title. The deadline for submission: 5 Mar 2021 at 11:59 pm (wk 6) (ONLY Soft
copy submission through Blackboard is accepted).
Late submissions will be penalized by deducting 10% of the total marks per each day of
lateness.
