Answer any three (03) questions. All questions carry equal marks.
1. A large window in the Figure is opened using a hydraulic cylinder AB. If the cylinder extends
at a constant rate of 0.5 m/s, determine the angular velocity and angular acceleration of the
window at the instant θ =30°

2. Due to slipping, points A and B on the rim of the disk have velocities shown. Determine the
velocities of the center point C and point D at this instant.

3. The slider block has the motion shown. Determine the angular velocity and angular
acceleration of the wheel at this instant.

4. The pendulum in Figure is suspended from the pin at O and consists of two thin rods. Rod OA
and BC weigh 10 lb and 8 lb, respectively. Determine the moment of inertia of the pendulum
about an axis passing through (a) point O and (b) the mass center G of the pendulum.
