Introduction As a college student who is taking tourism and hospitality management, we are required to listen to the topics our department organized and provided through a webinar. The program has speakers that have different professions to discuss different topics that will help us in our study and professions. II. Knowledge/ Learning Acquired It’s been a year since COVID-19 happened but it still is affecting us, same as our economy. Talking about economy, tourism is one of the major outlets to boost our economy, it creates thousands of jobs, develops the infrastructures of a country, and plants a sense of cultural exchange between foreigners and citizens. Many articles write about how pandemic, bring negative impacts on tourism specially in the first quarter of 2020, the period when the travel restrictions and lockdowns in most countries started and international tourist arrivals declined, many destinations from different places closes their borders for tourists and suspended flights totally or partially. III. Observation During our webinar, I observed that the speaker had enough information and data about the subject he is discussing. I saw that all students are interested to the topic discussed and participating with the speaker and are listening to him attentively to learn. IV. Introduction As a college student who is taking tourism and hospitality management, we are required to listen to the topics our department organized and provided through a webinar. The program has speakers that have different professions to discuss different topics that will help us in our study and professions. II. Knowledge/ Learning Acquired COVID-19 bring a lot of negative impacts in our economy and industry that brings different challenges in our society, but as a Filipino we are known for being resilient and that this helps us through this time. We need to be brave in order to survive and the speaker shared the different challenges we are facing and how to overcome and fight this test. We experienced the life of a new normal that postponed and cancel most of our events, learning and working though different platforms online, having difficulty in using the internet and other technology, not able to go to different places and many more, but this webinar tells us how to be strong and outface each problem. Introduction As a college student who is taking tourism and hospitality management, we are required to listen to the topics our department organized and provided through a webinar. The program has speakers that have different professions to discuss different topics that will help us in our study and professions. II. Knowledge/ Learning Acquired They say that the new normal will last for a long year or maybe forever, but we should not get too pessimistic because one day it will end and we can get back to how we live before. Despite of the disadvantage’s pandemic gave, Mindoro is known for having the advantage towards COVID-19, like having our own COVID-19 area or clinic that can accommodate positive patient and as of now having only 8 active cases in our province. Because of this, we are now slowly opening our tourism and business to the public but still complying with the strict protocols and guidelines. The speakers shared their story and knowledge on how and what to do when someone goes to a different place. We should always follow the rules and don’t forget the mask and face shield because it will save not only ourselves, as well as others. III. Knowledge/ Learning Acquired I’m always fascinated when I hear the words that are connected in the word airplane and learning new things about this makes me happy. Being able to pursue the dreams you want and being able to help your family and also yourself is a great thing you can achieve in your life. The speaker helps me realize how I want to become successful while being humble and kind. Helping others not just only a part of your job but a genuine help that can bring happiness to others is what I want to do in the future. III.
