Internet business models include

advertisement
Internet business models include: e-tailer, transaction broker, market creator, content
provider, community provider, portal and service. The choice of riskiest model will
depend on the individual student. A sample answer is: Today the riskiest model would
be a content-provider, because most, if not all, of the major offline entertainment and
content producers such as television networks and newspapers are online. They would
be your competitors, and already have the means for content creation and distribution in
place. All of the other business models do not have the risk of creating brand new
content
Market creator:
Every time a sale is made as a result of this process the affiliate receives a
percentage of the sale. Like ebay
Subscription Model
Websites that use the subscription business model require users to pay a fee
(typically monthly or yearly) to access a service or product. like Netflix
Content provider
They create news, video, or game that the customer may pay to access the
content. iTunes.com
E-tiler : company simply sells products directly to buyers. It could be clothes,
CDs, or cars but the concept is the same. Like amazon.
Community provider
People using their service for free and when more people are using the website,
the more money they can charge for targeted advertising. Like Facebook.
The riskiest one it would be Content provider since they already have more
competitors.
