BASIC SETUP AND
PROGRAMING
This guide is intended for basic interface setup and charger
programing.

INSTALLING INTERFACE
• Download interface Zip file.
• Remove setup files and save on computer.
• Do not install from zip file. (this will cause errors)
• Identify your operating system processor. (either 32 Bit or 64 Bit)
• Install corresponding charger interface.
• Open interface.
CHARGER INTERFACE
• Navigate to about tab and select about charger interface.
• Enter password and select change access.
*Password can be sent upon request*
• Exit pop up window when complete.
• Open configuration tab.
• Import CSV file by selecting ‘IMPORT CSV’ button.
• Locate CSV file saved with the interface setup files.
• Click open.
CHARGER PROGRAMING
• Connect to charger using USB to Micro USB cable.
• Open connection tab and select port if not selected automatically.
• In configuration tab select Configuration Template drop down menu.
• Select appropriate battery and charge method.
• Select charger type. (FS3,FS5 or FS9)
• Select AC configuration.
• FS3 can be configured in 208, 240 or 480 VAC single or three phase.
• FS5 and FS9 are configured in 480 VAC three phase only.
• Select ‘Use Values’
• (Values should be populated to charger configuration page)
• Start current and battery rating can be modified in the configuration
settings section.
• Changing start current will automatically adjust the finishing current.
• Finishing current is calculated as a percent of the start current.
• Select ‘Write Configuration’ to apply changes.
Choosing equalize settings
• Cycle Based (DCPT default
setting)
Battery will auto equalize after set
number of cycles. (DCPT default
setting is 5 cycles)
• Time Based
Battery will auto equalize at set time,
on set day and week frequency.
(Battery must be connected and
idle at set time for equalize)* Be sure
to set charger to computer time.
• Set by profile
Equalize charges are set by the active
charge profile.
(This setting is used by DCPT
technicians to create custom profiles)
CHARGER DISPLAY
• Charger should now be displaying the programed settings.
COMPLETION
• Connect battery and charger will begin the programed charge cycle.
• (Toggle the start/stop switch if equipped on charger)
