I am writing this regarding seeking the Canada merchant manager position within
Nike Canada, Downtown Toronto HQ.
I am a hardworking, determined and enthusiastic team player that possesses the
skills and ability to work in a team environment, as a leader or team player, and the
ability to adapt to challenges as soon as they may arise. Over the years I have been
able to showcase this ability starting with an extensive background playing Division
1 basketball in University through to my current role as a search engine evaluator.
Over this period of time, I have been able to strengthen my communication,
analytical, and time management skills, allowing me to come to sound conclusions
and make the right decisions over again.
I have always been attracted to Nike, growing up I always wanted to wear and
represent the brand. I did many times playing on the various teams from middle
school through University. Nike’s mission statement “ to bring inspiration and
innovation to every athlete* in the world. If you have a body you are an athlete” has
resonated with me for a long time. It doesn’t matter your profession or walk of life
you come from, every ‘body’ is such a fine-tuned machine and it is important to
treat your body as such, from accountants who sit all day to even the world's
greatest athletes, we all must treat our bodies like an athlete should.
Nike offers a world-class supportive, team-based environment where you can reach
personal and professional goals all the while focusing on strengthening relationships
with customers, athletes, and other brands. If I were to be allowed to have a
position with Nike, I would show you through my determination, hard work, and
perseverance that I would envelop the qualities and values of a Nike employee.
