Alviar St., Masili, Calamba City, Laguna SCHOOL LEARNING ACTION CELL “Students’ Scaffolding in a Modular-based Teaching” Due to the fact that educational scaffolding is a supportive structure in which the students are helped to learn new tasks and concepts that they were not able to experience and learn normally. This strategy helps and supports students in how to achieve or solve a problem. Therefore, the faculty together with the principal of Castor Alviar National High School was able to conduct a LAC regarding on Strategic Scaffolding that seems necessary to support students in digital or modular learning modes and possible to help them in the formation of basic principles and basic concepts of the lesson by using purposeful materials last November 25, 2020 via Google Meet. The LAC session began with a prayer led by Mrs. Melissa M. Zapatos followed by the playing of the music video of National Anthem and Hymn of Calamba City. Afterwards, chief advisers of each grade level did the roll-call of the participants as requested by the emcee of the conference, Mrs. Ruffa S. Cordovilla. To formally start the forum, Mr. Jesus A. Mauhay, CANHS Principal, reminded teachers regarding first quarter period schedule of activities as part of his opening remarks. The speaker was Mrs. Cayetana P. Fulgencio, Head Teacher III. She shared her knowledge on her lecture on students’ scaffolding in a modular-based teaching. We teachers listened carefully and focused ourselves as she briefly discussed and explained how the scaffolding in education and appropriate scaffolding strategies are being conducted. After the discussion of the resource speaker, the teachers were given a chance to ask questions regarding to her topic and at the end of the LAC, the evaluation link was provided.
