HOW TO SET UP YOUR DIGITAL INTERACTIVE
SCIENCE NOTEBOOK (ISN)

Log into your Google Account
Go to Google Slides
Create a new Google Slide Presentation and name it:
Your name + ISN (ex. Hicks ISN)
SHARE IT WITH ME!!!

Change the size of the slide
Under "File" click on "Page Setup"
Click on the down arrow and choose "Custom." Change the size to: first
box: 8.5 second box: 11 and "Apply." All of your pages will look like the
size of a standard piece of paper.
Add a new slide and create your own cover page

Add a New Slide
Add a"Table of Contents "across the top
Each time you add a new assignment slide, I will tell you how to label it and
the slide number to add. I will also keep a running Table of Contents to
help you keep up and will share it with you each time a new assignment is
added.

Using Your INB
You must keep up your INB daily
Each assignment on Canvas will come with instructions about today's
assignment/activity. Whatever the assignment (notes, worksheet,
activity, lab, etc), you will add a new Google Slide to your ISN and
embed, paste, type on directly the assignment that is due. This is
basically the same way you used to turn in paper assignments for grades.

Graded Assignments
IMPORTANT!!!!
The ISN that you shared with me will be where I will go to grade your
assignment, unless otherwise specified. SO, it's important that you add
your assignment to your ISN when finished so you get credit for doing
your work.

Summary
You are RESPONSIBLE for your digital notebook!!
Create a new Google Slide Presentation and label and share
Change the size of the slide and create a cover page
Create a "Table of Contents" page
EVERY assignment, unless we tell you differently, will be added to the
table of contents and onto a new slide.
