Triangle Inequalities.
2 rules
FIRST:
Longest side is opposite the largest angle. Smallest angle is opposite the shortest side.
SECOND:
The sum of any 2 sides > the length of the remaining 3rd side.
If the sides are 10, 16 and 22 then….
need 3 yeses to be a yes. Yes it will form a triangle.
BUT…. sides of 3, 5, 8
One NO and the answer is NO!
Find all possible measures of a third side given 2 sides of a triangle.
The easy way to think about this type of problem - Subtract < 3rd side < Add.
