Apart from that, we would like to express our appreciation to SA officers for the support and fast respond in making this event a success. During the event, we sell our merchandise at the SA circle booths as well as organizing educative talks for the students. Two talks were held on the 4th November 2015, which is the ‘Route to Engineering’ talk by Mr. Chiang Choon Lai who is one of the UNMC lecturers and ‘Engineering Entrepreneurship’ talk by Mr. Raymond Gabriel who is the executive director from People Systems Consultancy Sdn. Bhd. We invite the advisor of UNMC ICE Student Chapter, Dr. Choong Wee Kang to attend the talks too. The amount of the participants attending ‘Engineering Entrepreneurship’ talk is 60 people while 52 people, mainly foundation students, attended ‘Route to Engineering’ talk. Throughout the talks, students are briefed by the speakers about the aspects of engineering entrepreneurship as well as the introduction of each engineering field. The participants found interest in the topics and gave good response to the speakers. Also, many questions were raised during the Q&A session. At the end of each talk, refreshment is provided to the speakers, lecturer, participants and the committees in charge. At the same time, participants get to interact with the speakers and clear their doubts regarding the engineering field. As for the sales at SA circle, the response of the students, mainly engineering students, is good. As the stocks are not enough, we offer the pre-order so the students will not miss out our merchandise. In addition, we distribute brochures which contain the information of each engineering to the students to increase their basic knowledge of engineering field. 3 Details of event Name of event: Engineering Identity Week Date and Time: 4th November 2015, 5th November 2015 Venue: SA circle, F3A08 Number of Participant: 60 Event Committee List Organizing Chairperson: Tan Jing Ning Advisor: Robin Lai Chiong Sun, Khine Htoo, Lo Yi Bang Secretary: Chong Weng Fai, Faisal bin Zubaid Akbar Treasurer: Yap Yong Qi, Esmond Wong Yit Sim Marketing: Lim Chun Yan, Cheong Kae Khei MC: Bill Yii Photographer: Lim Chun Yan 4 Event mission To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Department of Civil Engineering.
