What is the name for his skating trick?
In May, Albee Layer made a fantastic movement which became a hot topic in the social
networks. They discussed the name for his skateboard movement: surfing or snowboarding
or others.
Firstly, he waved as normal. Then he surfed into their air before going back to the starting
position. Continuously, he rotated at 360 degrees and slipped at 180 degrees. For more cool

Skateboard lovers in the world started controversy about how to name this movement along
with praising him for his skillfulness. There were lots of opinions with diverse reasonings.
Some thought it was a normal movement of skateboarding, some believed it looked more
like snowboarding than skateboarding.
Todd Richards, the skater with advanced level, also cared about this controversy. He sent a
message to Tony Hawk, creator of impressed tricks, in order to know about Tony’s opinion.
Tony replied by a video in which he did exactly the movement of Albee. He explained that
Albee’s trick was a micro ramp made by Birdhouse. Tony also said that he knew the moment
when the trick happened.
The topic was still on the top. Not only fans of skateboarding but also Mikey Wright and Selly
Slater joined the debate. It was said that McTwist had been the same as the fantastic
movement of Albee. McGill who created McTwist shared his point of view towards the topic
that Albee’s movement was super new and needed to be respected. Then he said
skateboarding was a type of surfing, but it stood on the higher level due to the rapid
development. McGill pointed out the difference between the two sports which was
skateboarding was played on ramps.
The owner of this hot movement said his maneuver in the air with no angles was the reason
making it become special.
