We found that the maximum amount of oil that can be extracted is 10% which can be extracted by applying 6 cycles of extraction and this considered as optimum number of cycles - applying more cycles will just led to consume time without significant change in percent was extracted - . The efficiency of this process is about which considered to be Table Of Contents: Results……………………………………………………………………………………..1 Discussion Of Results…………………………………………………………………..8 Conclusion & Recommendation …………………………………………………..10 References………………………………………………………………………………..11 Appendices……………………………………………………………………………....12 Results: Table (1):Raw Data and Calculations solvent thimble's weight (g) 3.3 3.7 4.1 3.9 No. of cycles 3 6 9 12 olive cake weight(g) 14.6 13.8 12.4 12.8 final weight(g) 13.5 12.4 11.1 11.6 oil fraction 0.301369863 0.369565217 0.435483871 0.3984375 0,5 0,45 0,4 oil fraction 0,35 0,3 0,25 0,2 0,15 0,1 0,05 0 0 1 2 3 4 5 No. of cycles 6 7 8 Figure (1): Oil Fraction Vs Number of Cycles 9 10 oil % 8% 10% 10% 9%
