Unit 2: How do forces and matter interact?
SOI:By identifying relationship of similarity and difference ,we understand how force and matter interact
L.O:
summative assessment project –recycling win win planet
Assessment criteria: D reflecting on impacts of science
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Metals are expensive to extract from their ores and it causes pollution
Your task is to
1. Produce an information leaflet, web page or poster to raise awareness about metal recycling. Research
the way that one metal is mined and extracted and how science and technology of metal recycling might
help reduce the impacts of this process
2. Title: should government invest in more metal recycling?
3. Find out where metals are recycled near you, how you can start metal recycling programme in your
school or country?
4. You must achieve reflect these points in your project to achieve the highest.
Qualities
Self assessment put score from 0 to 8 after reading
below table
explain the ways in which science is applied and used
to address a specific problem or issue
It is a poster/ webpage/leaflet
discuss and evaluate the implications of using science
and its application to solve a specific problem or
issue, interacting with a factor
consistently apply scientific language to
communicate understanding clearly and precisely
Document sources completely.
