Chapter 2 “Rise of Islam” Project
This project asks students to go in-depth with a festival, practice, or person of the Islamic faith.

The assignment will be presented in a PowerPoint of at least ten slides. Use thoughtful
graphics, font, and color. This project should identify and discuss the historical importance and
main points of the pillar, a festival, or a person. If you choose a person, then you should talk
about childhood, life accomplishments, and their impact on Islam. On at least one slide, you will
reflect on how this project has impacted your view of Islam and also propose a call to action on
how you can react to this as a Christian. The goal of this project is to gain an understanding
into Islam in an in-depth and self-reflective manner, so that we can learn how to be a better
witness to Muslims..
Your project will be due Wednesday, September 30. You will begin presenting your project
this day.
Your project will count as a test grade up to 25 points.
