1. Locate the website for the World Council for Corporate Governance

a. What are the mission, vision and objectives of the WCFCG?
MISSION
WCFCG aims to improve and better the quality of the corporate
governance practices worldwide by promoting greater transparency,
integrity, probity, accountability and integrity.
VISION
The vision of WCFCG is more like of an action plan that is
represented by the acronym IDEA, which means:
Interaction: broaden the interaction among all stakeholders involved
in corporate governance process
Dialogue: identify specific needs of developing and transition
economies and use the power of dialogue to build a consensus and create
partnerships among all stakeholders especially public and private sectors
and capital providers with a view to adopting best corporate governance
practice.
Exchange: exchange information, experience and knowledge about
best practices in corporate governance worldwide through conferences,
seminars, workshops and roundtables.
Action: provide hands-on technical support to help developing and
transition economies to bridge the gap between them and developed
countries.
OBJECTIVE
The WCFCG’s objective is to concentrates on the betterment and
improvement of how the corporate governance is practiced nowadays.
Thus, they've now been following the above action plan as their vision to
achieve their goals and objectives.
b. What was the 2005 London Declaration?
The 2005 London Declaration refers to patients for patient safety
which is also called as the World Health Organization (WHO) World
Alliance for Patient Safety. Those Patients for Patient Safety, pledged to
help create a world in which health care errors harm fewer people. They
were gathered in London from November 27-30, 2005 to join together in
partnership in an effort to reduce the massive burden of avoidable harm in
health care. They were advocates for care with less harm in the developing
as well as the developed world. Moreover, they were committed in
spreading the word from person to person, town to town, country to
country. There was a right to safe health care so they do not want to let the
current culture of error and denials continue during that time. make the
reduction of health-care errors a basic human right that protects human life
around the world.
c. Explain the acronym PREEMPTIVE.
The PREEMPTIVE acronym stands for: Participation, Responsibility,
Equity, Ethics, Maximize corporate value, Performance, Transparency,
Independence of the Board, Variety improves the crop, Education and
Training.
