Assignment Requirements:
In this assignment, every student is required to produce an engineering critic report, which is
designed to allow you to investigate the relationship between strategic management system
and execution of projects in an engineering organisation in the UAE. Your report should be
structured using the following. Choose only 1 engineering company(in the UAE( Dewa –
Adnoc ,Alfuttim etc… or Worldwide company (Apple – sumsung,etc….) as the mansion in
the assignment requirement (lecture review about the company that you will search it
about it (the research is ready )and answer it based the assignment questions). Also, do
the research from the articles not internet and do not forget to reference it) published
articles and trusted website).
Headings:
1. An introduction about the corporate strategy in an engineering organisation.
2. A literature review of the importance of aligning engineering project management with
corporate strategy of the engineering organisation with considering the dynamic market
environments and disruptive technological innovation and natural disasters such GOVID19.
Note: technological innovation in general not specific about the country that it research
about it.
3. A narrative of a case study on an engineering organisation worldwide (to include future
vision, mission and objectives, strategy, core business activities, recent financial
performance, competiveness in the market, etc.)
4. A narrative on the difficulties associated with the dynamic nature of the market including
dealing with the managing the technological innovations and acting upon the new market
principles of red and blue oceans strategies in engineering project as of means for
developing corporate strategies and value creation in the selected organisation.
5. A set of recommendations for improvement to existing project level planning activities
for the selected organization and other engineering organisations. You may need to consider
how these improvements map into your organisation strategic objectives (identified in
section c).
6. References and bibliography.( do the references for all information that you will take it
from the articles and Figures.
Report Assessment Criteria
 The report presentation format, and layout including:
1. Report sections should include Introduction, Aims and Objectives, Problem statement and
background 25%
2. Figures and results graphical presentation
3. References
 Critical analysis for the assignment questions and case study presentation. 50%
 Discussion and Conclusions 25%
Note: when you do the presentation: I want the explanation for each slide but write the
explain in word for example (first slide show…..etc)
Report
The report should include a complete critical analysis of all elements of the above tasks.
 Discussion, conclusions and set recommendation should be included.
 The report must be 4000-5000 words excluding any graphical figures and tables.
 The report must be written in MS word document format ONLY.

General introduction on the topics as mentioned in the assignment detail.
Literature Review should be on other researchers' previous works which has been
published through a research journal and should cover different areas mentioned in
the assignment details.
You have to choose ONLY ONE company, in UAE or world wide, to investigate and
discuss their implementation of the principles stated in assignment details. For this
company you have to give some background and a narrative about the nature of the
company projects and business.
