Chapter 3 Research Methodology This chapter presents the Research design, Population and Locale, Instrumentation and Data Collection and Data Analysis. Research Design The descriptive method of research was used in our study because according to Manuel and Medel it describes the “what is” of a phenomena. It involves description, recording, analysis, and interpretation of present nature, composition or processes of phenomena. The focus in on the prevailing conditions, or how a person, a group, or a thing behaves or functions at the present. Aquino define descriptive research is fact finding with adequate interpretation. Population and Locale This study took place at Sea and Sky College in the City of San Fernando, La Union. The respondents included the students and the instructors of the school. Female Instrumentation and Data Collection In gathering the data, the researchers constructed three sets of questionnaire used as instrument in data collection. We used this method in collecting data we will distribute a survey questionnaire that they will answer honestly. The questionnaire were administered to our respondents who were the students and instructors of the school identified in this study. It will be administered through systematic sampling techniques. Ad was interpreted and analysed through tables and formulas of different statistical treatment. Data Analysis The study utilized frequency and percentage computation, weighted mean and ranking for data processing. The scales of values used were the 5 point Likert Scale. The data was interpreted, analysed, and presented in tables. Table 3.
