EXPERIENCE HR & Recruitment Manager Integrated Industrial 2012 – Present Integrated Industrial Pty Ltd is a specialist supplier to the Mining & Construction, Oil & Gas, Marine and Industrial sectors both in Australia and Internationally. The business was established in 1992 and has grown to become a well-respected, major supplier a variety of sectors for the last 23 years. We currently service 150 valued customers throughout Western Australia, Africa, Europe and Asia. Integrated Industrial holds a significant number of supply contracts with major resource companies across Australia and Internationally. These contracts vary from general industrial consumables, safety and PPE, pipe and fittings, lubrication and marine products through to the sourcing of genuine OEM spares from all parts of the globe. My role is a mix of strategic and direct sourcing, focusing on developing the long term strategy for the business. Through market mapping and talent pool development we have been able to execute (talent) acquisition strategies to meet current and future business needs. Leading the function I work across the entire portfolio (Mining & Construction, Oil & Gas, Marine and Industrial) and role disciplines (operations, business development, supply chain logistics), both locally and globally. Supporting the design and implementation of diversity strategy, programmes and initiatives to ensure talent processes achieve organisational goals. Recruitment and HR Manager, Australia Quiksilver 2009 – 2011 Quiksilver, Inc., incorporated in 1976, is a diversified company that designs, produces and distributes branded apparel, footwear, accessories and related products. Its products are sold in over 90 countries in a range of distribution channels, including surf shops, skateboard shops, snowboard shops, its concept stores, other specialty stores and select department stores. The Company has three operating segments consisting of the Americas, Europe and Asia/Pacific, each of which sells a range of its products. The Company’s brands are focused on different sports within the outdoor market. In this role I designed the company’s recruitment strategy in consultation with senior executives, and was responsible for its implementation, in collaboration with a team of Recruitment and HR Advisors, which I managed. I also developed and facilitated training programs, and facilitated leadership behavioural competencies and performance review programs. Recruitment and HR Advisor Quiksilver 2007 – 2009 This role was a HR generalist position focused on providing critical advice and service to employees across Queensland in managing recruitment and employee programs, working with managers to grow and develop employees, providing advice on policies and procedures, supporting employee wellbeing programs and providing payroll backup. HR Project Consultant Liverpool Council 2009 – 2009 In this role I developed a recruitment and retention strategy for Liverpool Council’s Services division, including the design and implementation of an exit and entry interview pilot. The interview pilot identified improvement requirements, and has led to improved 2 retention of staff over time. Further, in a team setting, I helped develop a system to capture and analyse all staff feedback during Pay & Reward staff consultation. Recruiting Sourcing Specialist Julia Ross 2007 - 2009 I worked with clients from the mining and engineering industries to source and recruit talent. I was able to successfully recruit staff by effectively utilizing an array of tools and outlets, such as job boards and the then-relatively new forms of social media (Facebook, Twitter), and maintaining talent pipelines. I took ownership of full recruitment activities for selected roles, and supported recruitment operations.
