Since this a practical based course, whereby students are required to apply the theories they have covered in normal lecture hours. Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to do the follow ing: Link theories of the courses taken and practice; Communicate in real business environment; Identify a researchable topic and write proposals for funding; and Estimate demand and make management decisions for different enterprises. Content: Business communication; presentation skills; preparation of research project proposals; writing grant winning proposals and loan application procedures The economics of crop and livestock production; demand estimation techniques; strategic marketing management issues in agribusiness environment; profitability analysis in agribusiness firms and decision making tools in agribusiness environment. Approach: Lectures: Case studies; Practicals; Assignments; and Field visits or Executives in Residence.
