Design basis and description of treatment: Capacity - 1 kl/hr Quantity - 01 nos Application -portable Treatment details- Ultra Filtration Feed/raw UF quality: COD - 15PPM BOD - 90 PPM TSS - <10 mg/l Turbidity - <5 NTU Treated Water quality: TSS - 1 mg/l Turbidity - 1 NTU Please note that the system is designed based on the above mentioned feed water parameters. Any change/deviation greater than 10 % from the above mentioned values will necessitate changes in design, treated water quality and quantity. Process Description 01. Ultra filtration. An ultra filtration membrane is a membrane that effects separation on the principle of sieving. The membrane has pores that are in the nanometer size range, and will therefore prevent particles, colloids, microorganisms and dissolved solids that are larger in dimension than the pores in the membrane surface from passing. The membrane therefore acts as a physical, size-exclusion barrier, and it is for that reason that ultra filtration membranes produce such a high quality product. The membranes that were used in this study are referred to as capillary membranes. The membranes are narrow-bore tubes that have an outside diameter of 1.8 mm and a lumen (bore) diameter of 1.2 mm. The membranes are internally skinned, which means that the pre-treated feed water enters into the lumen from where it filters outwards under a pressure driving force. The trans-membrane pressure required to produce clean-filtered water is typically less than 2 kg/cm2, typically 1.2 kg/cm2 • Produces a MF/UF quality suitable for drinking applications or as a high quality feed water source for Reverse Osmosis treatment. Indicative output quality of MF/UF systems include SS < 5 mg/L, turbidity < 5 NTU, up to 4 log removal of virus and up to 6 log removal.(depending on the membrane nominal pore size). In addition, MF/UF provides a barrier to certain chlorine resistant pathogens such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia. • The resultant small footprint can be a feature used to address issues of visual amenity, noise and odors. Warranty: All the components in the system will be under warranty for 01 year from the date of installation of the system or 14 months from the date of dispatch whichever is earlier. Delivery Period: within 4-6 weeks from the date of acceptance the commercially and technically clear purchase order.
