Dear MAVIS ASANTEWAA OPOKU,
Your application for a visit visa to the United Kingdom has been refused.
What this means for you
Any future UK visa applications you make will be considered on their individual merits,
however you are likely to be refused unless the circumstances of your application change.
In relation to this decision, there is no right of appeal or right to administrative review.
The reasons for this decision are set out on the next page.
Yours sincerely,
TH

REASONS FOR REFUSAL
NRA v 1.0
You have applied for a visa to visit the UK.
In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: of the Immigration Rules for
visitors (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitorrules), I have considered:

your application and any additional relevant information you have provided with it

your immigration history
The decision
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the
requirements of paragraph 4 of Appendix V because:
 You said on your application form that you have been in full time employment as a
community mental health officer since April 2012 earning a total of GHS2,950 (£430
@ GHS6.86 = £1 reference www.OANDA.com) per month. As evidence of this
employment, you have submitted letters and payslips from Accra Psychiatric
Hospital. As evidence of funds held by you, you have presented a GCB bank
statement dated 16 September 2019 that shows this income. In addition, you state
that you have an additional income of GHS56,399 (£8,222) per year. Your bank
statement shows regular credits from the Roshelle Brago Boakye Foundation. Your
bank statement shows deposits of GHS11,000 (£1,6040 and GHS8,900 (£1,297) on
23 July 2019 and 29 July 2019 respectively. The documentation you have submitted
does not show the source of these funds. I am not therefore satisfied that your
financial circumstances are as you have set out. Given the above, on the evidence
before me, and the balance of probabilities, I am not satisfied that you have
accurately presented your circumstances or intentions in wishing to enter the
UK. This means that I am not satisfied that only a short visit is intended, or that you
will leave the UK at the end of the period stated. V4.2a & c
