The Great Creative Writing Challenge! (Make up a title for the story!) One dark, winter’s evening, a hungry leopard decided to go hunting for his dinner. The pale moon was hidden behind the grey clouds. The hungry leopard climbed carefully down from his marula tree and began searching for a delicious snack of baboon. Behind a giant marula tree sat a great, hairy baboon sitting quietly on a sharp, grey rock. He was picking tiny fleas off his left leg and popping them into his wide mouth one by one. He was concentrating so hard that he did not hear the hungry leopard creep up slowly behind him. “AH!” said the leopard to himself. “Here is a delicious snack just sitting here, waiting for me to gobble him up!” But as he took another step forward, he stood on a very sharp thorn. “OUCH” he yelled, jumping up and down like a maniac, trying to pull the thorn out of his aching paw. Of course, the surprised baboon heard the loud cries of the suffering leopard and ran quickly into the thick bushes to hide. He picked up a huge rock to protect himself against the leopard and sat quietly hiding under the leaves of a thick, green bush. Meanwhile, the poor leopard was struggling to get the thorn out of his paw and making such an awful noise, that every baboon in the area had a chance to escape. Poor old leopard was definitely not going to eat tonight! Adjective preposition noun adverb verb Fill in your own choice of word in the coloured boxes – e.g. all green boxes must have a noun.
