1.1.1 Scientific Notation Homework
Refer to Presentation 1.1.1 The Practice of Science for assistance.
To type a superscript press “control period”. To stop typing
superscripts press “control period” again.
Positive exponents are numbers greater than 0, negative exponents are less than 0.
When you multiply, first multiply the coefficients, then ADD the exponents, move the
decimal point if needed.
When you divide, first divide the coefficients, then SUBTRACT the lower exponent
from the upper exponent, move the decimal point if needed.
