Structure: Is there a unique structure to this novel that helps or hinders the overall work? Purpose/Audience: Focus on who the book is intended for. Author: Is there any interesting biographical information about the author that has a connection to the novel? Genre: What genre is the novel a part of and does the genre directly impact any of the author choices in an interesting way? Good and Bad: In your opinion, what is done well, what is done poorly? Introduction: Develop an interesting, attention getting, way to start your review. This section includes: Author and Title Main Themes Context (historical and cultural) Angle or originality Thesis about the Book Summary: 25 words or less and NO SPOILERS!!! Analysis and Evaluation: Decide which 3-4 elements from the previous side of this plan that you are going to focus on (one MUST be theme) and organize their order here. Conclusion: Summarize your overall thoughts and give your rating and recommendation (to read or not to read) here.
