For your midterm you will create a examine your own development using the scientific method.





First form a question about your early childhood development-adolescence. (how were you
parented, what form of attachments were present, how much did you play, how was your
health, do you think you had healthy social skills; if not why, were there any environmental
concerns, what was the emotional climate in your home and neighborhood, what type of
support system was there etc.)
Second arrive at a hypothesis (i.e.; Could being raised by a drug addicted parent affect the ability
to trust others, and/or social skills of and individual?)
Third use your, text chapters regarding developmental stages and other information, local
library, or other online sources to research your hypothesis to see if what you hypothesize might
be true.
Exam you biases-what perspective are you looking from as you self-examine (are there other
demographics involved, what could be better, what needs to change.
Lastly- develop a theory about your development.
Cite/reference all your sources.
This paper should include a cover sheet 4 single pages or 2 pages back to back and a reference page.
