Waste has been a problem in any
institution since the beginning. It
requires unified efforts of
everybody
because
it
is
everyone's problem. Regardless
of your position or status in the
community or in your locality,
garbage is a problem.
If you will
not do it,
who will?
If it will not be
done now,
when would it
be?
If you will not
take care of the
environment,
who will?
Let’s all act
while it’s not
yet too late.
1. Provides adequate
knowledge about proper
waste management,
disposal and
segregation;
2. Ensures compliance
with Ecological Solid
Waste Management Act
of 2000 through
feedback and constant
monitoring;
3. Implements
programs and
activities about Solid
Waste Management
4. Practices proper
waste
management,
disposal and
segregation
5. Minimizes the
bulk of trashes
from the
classrooms
6. Ensures that only
biodegradable wastes
will be thrown on the
composting site of the
school
7. Minimizes if not
eradicates the school’s
problem on solid waste
management, disposal
and segregation.
This study is based on
Republic Act 9003,
otherwise known as
Ecological Solid Waste
Management Act of 2000
“Set guidelines and
targets for solid waste
avoidance and volume
reduction….”
“Ensure the proper
segregation,
collection, transport,
storage, treatment and
disposal of solid waste
….”

cooperation and selfregulation among
waste segregators ….”
“Strength the integration of
ecological solid waste
management and resource
conservation and recovery
topics into the academic
curricula ….”

*Room Monitoring
*Search for Best
Segregator
*Highest Fundraiser

*There shall be a monitoring team, composed of
selected and properly oriented student leaders who
will look on every classroom every class period.
*This is to establish the pattern such as the time when
classrooms are accumulating more wastes and to
check the waste baskets if proper segregation is
observed.
*After collection of data, an analysis will be conducted
to propose a more comprehensive program or
solution to a cited problem.
*There will be a search per class or per grade level,
whichever is more amenable on BEST SEGREGATOR.
*There will be a scheduled date and time of collection
of non-biodegradable wastes near the school gate.
*This will be monitored by the School’s Utility
Personnel through an index card to be provided by
YES-O.
*Through this, classes or grade level not depositing
their wastes on the scheduled date will be subjected
for investigation as to where they are disposing their
garbage.
*Proper segregation would be the subject of
checking and monitoring.
*Those who are religiously practicing it will be
recognized during the flag ceremony of the
following week.
*They shall receive certificate of recognition
and a small reward.
* The fund to be utilized will be coming from
the earned money of the school in selling
plastic bottles.
*To strengthen the selling and
disposal of plastic bottles, there
shall be an award for HIGHEST
