Introduction
Same-sex marriage, Is the marriage between two men or between two women.
Although same-sex marriage has been regulated through law, religion, and custom in
most countries of the world, the legal and social responses have ranged from
celebration on the one hand to criminalization on the other. The issue of same-sex
marriage here in the Philippines is an argument that all of us have heard, and most of
us have strong opinions on it. According to Social Weathers Stations (SWS) survey
from March 23 – 27, 2018 showed that 61% of Filpinos disagree with the proposed bill
to legalize same-sex marriage, 22% agree with it, and 16% are undecided, meaning 2
out of 10 person here in the Philippines agree on legalizing same sex marriage. As Dr.
Martin Luther King Jr. said, “marriage is a basic human right. You cannot tell people
whom they cannot fall in love.” While he said this in reference to marriage between
races, the same can be said about homosexuals.

someone should not confine by the barriers put up by the society, Runa (2011) also
