Work in groups of about 3 people.
Each one of you is a houseplant and has 3 lives, represented as leaves.
1 person begins by drawing a card from the pile and reading it to the group.
Cards may:
o Have a statement about the environment in which you are kept. If it’s
a suitable environment, the card will read “gain a leaf” – take a leaf
from the centre pile and grow! If the environment is not suitable, you
will lose a life and must place 1 of your leaves on the centre pile.
o Be a chance question – consider the question and come up with a
suitable answer as you play the game.
Keep the cards that you get. When you have no leaves left, you are out of
the game. Consider what caused you to die.
Continue until the pile is finished (or there is only 1 person left with leaves).
Remember to think about what conditions prevent you from surviving and
which conditions help you to grow!
