Grant Readiness Checklist
Before your organization can approach and engage a funder, the following instruments must be present within
your company:
 Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Determination Letter recognizing your
organization as 501(c)(3) under the Federal Tax Code.*
 List of the Board of Directors
o For each board member have full name and title, address, complete
contact information, i.e., phone number(s), email address, best number
to reach.
 Articles of Incorporation
 By‐laws*
 Sam.gov registration*
 DUNS registration and number*
