Having always worked in companies within red oceans, it is very difficult for me to envision a blue ocean strategy in the cosmetics industry. But I believe Natura did a good jo in being the first to focus on sustainability. Today Natura bought Avon. I think I will try to exercise this tool in the art industry, in my sfield work. Let’s see if I can do it. 2. Implementation of blue strategy planning in big old companies is probably very hard. Maybe purchasing a small company before is gets expensive is a possibility. 3. Lean business strategy has been long known by Supply Chain people. I believe that the fact that General Electric, Qualcomm, and others, have begun to implement the lean start-up methodology in innovation/new products will set a new standard for their industries and others.
