"We, as teachers need to convey a professional image towards our academic community to deserve our students' respect. You'll find attached a few pictures that dictate our dress code and what NOT to wear in our premises while working.
We prefer BUSINESS casual and not just casual . Keep away from the bright colors.
Business casual is clean, neat, and should look appropriate even for an impromptu conference with the Program Director.
Shirts: it doesn't matter if it's long or short sleeved; plaid, striped, squared, checkered or plain; as long as it's neat and not as tight as it looked like one of the buttons is about to pop. Always, tuck in your pants ( https://youtu.be/7BOQsBk3bW8 ), unless the design has a straight cut in the border. No polos. You don't have to (optional) wear a tie.
Blouses: long, short or quarter sleeved , any color or style/pattern, as long as it is not transparent, short from the waist, or with a front/back cleavage. Slightly loose, not as tight as it looked like one of the buttons is about to pop. ( https://youtu.be/Yqzqakz53VQ )
Pants: Loose slacks , (though, not baggy) khakis or trousers, on your waist, not an inch lower. Belt included. No jeans (denim of any color), not even on Fridays, or anything similar to jeans.
Shoes: Dress shoes.
No boats, crocs (or the similar), sneakers, sandals, or open-toes.
Men, always wear socks.
*No caps, head cloth, nor hats in the premises.
*No tatoos shown in the premises.
*No percings.
*No extravagant haircuts. Keep it classical.
