Objectives

The main objectives are to assess

Summary of recommended OSIsoft training where applicable
Limitations
The Field Service Engineer shall not be expected to perform any configuration
changes or remediations as part of the health check.
The Field Service Engineer may perform minor remediations or configuration changes
at their discretion with customer approval.
Guidance on the implementation of applications and solutions are better suited to our
Workshop services.
Timeline
The assessment process, from ordering to completion, normally takes 2 to 3 weeks
Week 1 — Communication of prerequisites. Confirmation of on-site visit dates with
OSIsoft.
Week 2 — On-site visit or remote health check. Duration depends on the size of the PI
System and the categories selected for the health check.
Week 3 — Prepare and transmit PI System Health Report.

nodes, Custom or third party applications, and client nodes).
Customer must provide an Active Directory user with sufficient privileges to fully
inspect the PI System.
Performance monitor tags and PI Interface health points may be created to track and
assess PI System performance.
Customer must provide a configuration station with the System Management Tools
(SMT) and Microsoft® Excel® software.
Customer should provide an up-to-date network architecture drawing if possible.
Customer must arrange for safety training and any permits required.
Customer must provide all special safety equipment as required.
Package
This package includes several days of OSIsoft field service including report preparation and
excluding travel time. The duration depends on the size of the PI System and the categories
selected for the health check. Travel and living expenses will be invoiced at cost.
