Evaluating Federalist Paper #10
In James Madison’s Federalist paper 10, he explians that if a republic is put into order
than there would be no tyranny from the poor. His paper goes into detail that explain how having
a large number of faction and diversity in the goverment would avoid tyranny, just like the Shay
Rebellion. James Madison paper in my opinion is good becuase it describes the government now
and how it work balances out easily.
James Madison mentions the majortiy rule vs miniority rights and how this principal
plays a role. Using the majortity rule vs miniortiy rights causes every citizen to join in any issue
that is being proclaimed. While using majority rule, people are able to make descisions for the
greater good of the country; with this simple factor more people will be in the mix of
government. While the ajority rule is in affect, the miniority rule balances out the effect of
majority rule by stopping it from becoming a tyranny. The miniority have the power to change
the majority, which is through elections. Madision incorporates this into his paper which is very
understandble for reasoning of factions.
With the principles of the majority rule vs minority rights, this large government avoids
becoming a dictatorship or oligarchy. The current goverment that is in placed is a democracy and
without James Madison’s fedralist paper 10 then the government would of been run by certian
group. For example, the United States was being governed by Britian. There rules,policies,and

regulations was being created by the king,queen, and parliament. The citizens were not involved
and did not liked the rules that Great Britian were making; this cause the American Revolution.
Madison is explaining how to avoid another revolution against the government in his paper by
standing by the fact that a large government will not overule and become an oligachy in the
future.
This particular federalist paper mapped out how the Constituion will work. If the
Constitution is broken down piece by piece then federalist paper 10 is expanded on how this
mass gavernment with different groups will work together. In the goverment now there are
different groups and bodies that police each other and work together to solve issues and come up
with resolutions. The check and balance system is deeply embedded in this large government and
that system help keep order and equality.
In conclusion, James Madison federalist paper 10 is wonderful document that helped
many people understand how current Constitution will work and help out. The use of diiferent
techniques and learning from the past helped bulid this document that people today live and
breathe by.
