Fall 2018 Project – Issues in Health Care (HAN-364-04) Introduction to Project: You are invited to participate in the role as consultants to select a vendor solution for an organization. In this role you will present your team as a professional organization and not a group of students. All of your project deliverables, including your presentation should represent your group as professional consultants. Your team will be responsible for selecting an electronic solution to replace a paper process in a hospital or primary care practice. The facility does not have computer software or hardware for clinical documentation. You will apply the steps of the systems development life cycle to complete project deliverables or assignments. You will develop your own budget, but it MUST be practical. Your budget will include purchasing hardware for your electronic solution, the cost of your vendor solution and your consultant services. You will select the facility that you will implement the solution for by searching the internet for a hospital or private practice. You will collect background information about the private practice and use that information to select a system for your organization. The background information should be included in your project deliverables and presentation. ALL groups/teams are required to work together.
