production of live music concerts. The company’s services primarily include promotion of live music
events, operation and management of music venues, selling tickets for events on behalf of the company's

rights or has an equity interest in 196 venues, including House of Blues music venues and locations such
as The Fillmore in San Francisco, the Hollywood Palladium, the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam and 3Arena in
Ireland. The company operates in the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Australia. Live Nation
is headquartered in Beverly Hills, California, the US.

BUSINESS DESCRIPTION
Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. (Live Nation) is a live entertainment company. The company operates in
the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Australia.
The company operates through three business segments: Concerts; Ticketing; and Sponsorship and
Advertising.
Live Nation Entertainment's Concerts segment is engaged in the global promotion of live music events in
the company's owned or operated venues and in rented third-party venues, the operation and
management of music venues and the production of music festivals across the world. In FY2017, the
Concerts segment reported revenues of USD7892.07 million, which accounted for 75.3% of the
company's total revenue, including eliminations, Artist Nation, and excluding others.
The company's ticketing segment is an agency business that sells tickets for events on behalf of the
company's clients and retains a fixed fee or a percentage of the total convenience charge and order
processing fee for its services. It sells tickets for its events and also for third-party clients across multiple
live event categories, providing ticketing services for arenas, stadiums, amphitheaters, music clubs,
concert promoters, professional sports franchises and leagues, college sports teams, performing arts
venues, museums and theaters. Live Nation Entertainment sells tickets through websites, telephone,
mobile apps, ticket outlets and telephone call centers. In FY2017, the Ticketing segment reported
revenues of USD2143,8 million, which accounted for 20.45% of the company's total revenue.
The company's sponsorship and advertising segment employs a sales force that creates and maintains
relationships with sponsors, through a combination of strategic, international, national and local
opportunities for businesses to reach customers through the company's concert, venue, artist relationship
and ticketing assets, including advertising on its websites. It also books and produces custom events or
programs, including live music events with talent and media, using both online and traditional outlets, for
its client's specific brands. Its sponsorship programs include companies such as American Express,
Carlsberg, O2, Anheuser-Busch, Hilton and Pepsi. Its local and venue-focused sponsorships include
venue signage, promotional programs, on-site activation, hospitality and tickets. In FY2017, the
Sponsorship And Advertising segment reported revenues of USD445.14 million, which accounted for
4.25% of the company's total revenue.
The company classifies its operations into three geographical regions including the US, the UK and Other
Foreign Operation (excluding UK). In FY2017, the company generated 65.5% of the total revenue from
the US; followed by Other Foreign Operation (excluding UK) 26.9% and the remaining 7.6% is contributed
by the UK.
Live Nation Entertainment's venues include stadiums, amphitheaters, arenas, theaters, clubs, House of
Blues and festival sites. The company owns, operates, has booking rights or has an equity interest in 196
