The independent variable

The independent variable (IV) was chocolate, while the dependent variable (DV) was a memory
test. There were two levels of IV; chocolate and no chocolate. Six subjects from my yoga class
were assigned to each of the two levels. The no-chocolate group drank low fat half-liter milk
with almost the same calories content as the 50g dark chocolate bar. It was found that there was
no difference between the chocolate and control group when chocolate is consumed only once.
The study concluded that one-time consumption of chocolate is not adequate to increase to
increase memory retention or creation.
