STD AWARENESS PARTY
Objectives: Promote healthy sexual behaviors, strengthen community capacity, and increase access
to quality services to prevent sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and their complications through
an entertaining way.
 Intervene
in the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases
 Reduce
the complications brought on by sexually transmitted diseases
 Protect
the community from sexually transmitted disease related outbreaks
Program activities:
With regard to the prevention and fight against stigma and discrimination, the following are the
strategies and interventions:
1.) Guest Band to perform a welcoming ns meaningful song about awareness.
2.) A talk about the causes of Sexually Transmitted Diseases and other problems like stigma and
discrimination.
3.) 100% Condom Use Program (CUP) especially for entertainment establishments. Showing the
right way to use birth controls.
4.) Peer education and outreach about how to treat and avoid it.
5.) Procured male condoms distributed as education materials during outreach.
6.) Inspirational talk from a person who once carried the disease.
7.) After party
