SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. The SWOT analysis is a
process for integrating data and analyzing its impact on your organization. In this case we will be
looking at the strengths of CC music, its weakness, its opportunities and the threats it faces.
Strengths
1. They have a long history playing in bands and therefore have relevant experience in the
Industry.
2. Have an already existing band that has been doing shows all year round
3. They have a willing work force, their daughter and niece, to help run the business.

Customer relationship management (CRM) is an approach to manage a company's interaction
with current and potential customers. It uses data analysis about customers' history with a
company to improve business relationships with customers, specifically focusing on customer
retention and ultimately driving sales growth
Open-source software (OSS) is a type of computer software in which source code is released
under a license in which the copyright holder grants users the rights to study, change, and
distribute the software to anyone and for any purpose.
There’s more than a few Open Source Software that can be used to manage Small Businesses
such as CC music. In this section I will look into 5 open source software that would be a perfect
fit for CC music.

PART C: REPORT
Introduction
To start off CC music is a SME which just recently ventured into agency with their core business
being that of representing other artists and managing them. CC music has realized that it needs to
start taking a more professional approach and that is the purpose of this report
In the following report I will discuss the current mode of operation of CC music and its flaws
that I gathered after analysis and then recommend a new model to follow based on their needs. I
will then look into the different open source ERP software that can befit a small enterprise such
as CC music based on cost and functionality of the software.
In the current business model the operations and process are simple given that before going into
agency they only had one band to book gigs which was theirs. They advertised the band, booked
the gig and waited for the contract and payments through the mail. The flaw with this model
going into agency and representing more artists is that there’s no form of record keeping and it
will be difficult to mentally keep track of all the artists they represent. This however can be fixed
when the implementation of the proposed new business model is done.

In the proposed model operations would be made essentially more effective. In the new proposed
system CC music will market every artist through websites and social media sites. Event
organizers who are interested would contact CC music and request to book the artist, CC music
checks if the artist is available will go ahead and book them and if not a send a report back to the
organizers indicating that the requested artist is not available. The information is fed into the
ERP which updated the calendar and processes payments done and then produces a report at the
end .This proposed model is more efficient and alleviates the bulk of the work to the ERP open
source software which will process the payments as well as update the calendar.
