Hi everyone! This is my first post in this forum. It seems to be very interesting. Thank you all of
you for making this kind of places, it is so helpful for non native English speakers. Thank you.
Ok, so I´m trying to apply to a graduate position in Australia, where I´m living. I want to show
my enthusiasm, but I also want to be professional and over all, I don´t want to have grammar
mistakes!Any suggestion beside grammar is also very welcome. Thank you one more
time!Here it goes:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express a keen interest in your graduate program. I am confident that my
academic record, professional experience and enthusiasm make me a strong candidate to be
consider for the position.
I have recently graduated from the University XXXXX, with a four year Bachelor of Engineering,
European Degree, specialising in Building Construction Engineering. During my studies I
enhanced strongly my analytical and problem solving skills. I excelled at my temwork skills and
I gained strong leadership skills, having succesfully being group leader in many different
projects during my studies.
As you can see from my resume, I commenced my professional work experience with XXXXXX
as a graduate Engineer. This role involved assisting a Senior Engineer in the development of a
three-story building. During this time I reinforced valuable skills as thinking laterally within the
framework in order to meet the specific brief and all deadlines, problem solving,
organisational and work prioritizing skills.
I am fully eligible to work in Australia and I am now keen to apply the skills that are outlined in
the attached CV. An opportunity within your company would provide me with the chance to
work in my professional field and start a career in Australia. I would appreciate the opportunity
to meet you to discuss my skills, capabilities and professional experience in greater detail.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Yours faithfully,
