Wild animals Lion Lions are big cats An adult male lion may weigh around 225kg, and measure more than 3 metres from nose to tail. Lions are found in the wild in southern and eastern Africa. Tiger The tiger is the biggest member of the cat family. Crocodiles live in rivers, lakes and dams in parts of America, Asia, Africa and Australia Elephant Elephants are the largest living land mammals. GIRAFFE Giraffes are native to Africa, and are found between Chad and South Africa. Giraffes use their 21inch long tongues to wrap around the leaves, pulling them from the tree.
