SCOPE OF WORK
General Description
This method statement is to describe the various activities involved in Conduiting to ensure that the
work will be performed in a safe, professional and controlled manner as per Manufacture’s
recommendations and requirements of the project specification. [BS 4607]
Plant and Equipment
The following equipment will be used during the operation identified by this method statement.

Measuring tape

20mm / 25mm /32mm steel cold conduit bending spring

Hack saw frame and blades
Materials
Following materials will be used during embedded wall conduit. Material used will be as approved by the
engineer. The sizes and routes routing will be as per the approved shop drawing.

Work Methodology
Embedded Conduit:

Take material approval for the materials.

Before start the marking mark the 500 off from necessary grid lines with using orange color ink.

Apply packing tape around junction box which is filled with Rigifoam to secure the cover.

Mark the junction box locations as per the approved shop drawing.

Fix conduits to the junction box outlets and extend the conduit with necessary offsets and use the
proper solvent cement.

If any construction joint mark each system conduits using different color code

All conduits end cover by the packing tape.

Fix the junction box to the form work and secure using binding wire.

Additional security must be provided near to every box and at intervals of not more than 1.5 meters
by binding short lengths of steel wire twisted around the conduit and reinforcing steel re-bars.

Use cold bend conduits for necessary offsets & bends

Conduits less than 25 mm diameter will not be used.

Ensure conduits are not concealed until works has been inspected and approved.
