Katheryn Adams: Social Work Field Education I & II, SOCW 6500/6510 #1: Was good, fair grader, lots of supportive feedback, not too strict about due date times (day maybe, but time of day not really noted-for you Sunday night marathoners). Best professor for field. Had her for field 1 and 2 and could not have had a better experience with anyone else. She understands that the blogs are about our experiences and not about APA. She does not require citations or references, but to show that we did read the material, so just mentioning the article or text is fine with her and relating it to our experience in the field was what she was looking for. It was the least stressful assignments of all the classes thus far. The main idea was that we logged in all our hours. Our call-ins are wonderful and helpful and she also responds to emails straight away. She is the best professor ever and a great mentor in the field of social work. Very helpful when it came to advice if any of us had issues with our field assignments. #2: Human Behavior Social Environment, SOCW 6200 Great professor, she was a former faculty member from Case Western Reserve (great program) and it shows. She adapted her teaching methods very well to the on-line environment even though she was new. She was very involved in our discussions and was a fair grader. When I had to go to residency, she was very fair about allowing extra time for assignments. Her interests include lifespan development, particularly aging. I cannot say enough good things about her. I wish I had her for field!! I did not realize she was teaching that. Beth Amey: Social Work Field Education I & II, SOCW 6500/6510 #1: She is new to Walden as of Fall 2014. She has a full-time job as an executive director of a mental health agency and is doing field supervision for 2 other Universities. She is extremely busy, but she makes time for your class. She is very responsive on e-mail. She participates actively on the blogs and I feel she is a fair grader. She has provided supervision over many years and is experienced. I don't know how she is about late assignments as I was fortunate to get everything in even if it was at 2 am. Overall, I feel lucky to have her for field I and II and would recommend her. Dr. Arrazia: No class mentioned #1: One of my favorite professors. Great feedback, timely, thorough responses, always involved in discussions. By far the best professor I've had! He was engaged the whole quarter and wanted to empower and promote the future of his students. He took extra time at Residency to try and convince me to move to Italy and then he showed me fun pictures on his phone. It was personal and it made me felt like he cared to know his students on an individual basis. Giselle Balfour: Social Work Theory and Practice, SOCW 6060 #1: Super supportive, great communicator, and very motivating and encouraging. Great professor. Kara Beckett: Advance Clinical Social Work Practice I, SOCW 6111 #1: Fair grader, slow with grading, engaging at times; not a stickler for APA. Will dock points for not responding to peers and is strict about due dates unless you email her and notify her of your challenges with getting the work competed in time. This class has 3 papers total which the first two are 2-4 pages and the last one is a final project that is 8-10 pages on a population of interest (children, elder, adolescent, adult) and talk about a presenting problem (homeless, family conflict, depression, etc.). Overall, easy professor and easy class. Candice Beasley: Social Work Theory and Practice, SOCW 6060 #1: She's an ok professor and a stickler for APA at times. She takes points off for citations and running heads are a big deal to her and they're against Walden policy. She's new and take points off because she disagrees with how Walden cites. I finished the course with an A so I guess it wasn’t all that bad. Bentelspacher: Diversity, Human Rights, Social Justice, SOCW 6051 #1: Really good about feedback on both papers & discussions. Good participation in discussions. Great about responding to emails. I talked with him on the phone & was very understanding about late assignments, no points were deducted. Blanchard (Dutton): Military Social Work Electives, SOCW 6400/6410 #1: Quick and very fair grader, good feedback in discussion, (she actually puts in personal experiences); will not respond to all posts and usually only those who post in the beginning so if you are posting last, you will probably never get feedback in the discussion post. She responds to emails straight away. She will deduct points for late discussion, but 0 pts after Sunday. She expects APA, but will give you a chance to correct your mistakes. She requires an abstract for every paper. She allows first person in discussions and doesn't take points off if you don't use multiple references every time. I've had her for two classes and I would take more from her if I could. Kristin Bolton: Social Work Practice Research II, SOCW 6311 #1: Awesome professor!! Best to take for Research II. Nancy Campbell: SOCW 6356 #1: She is kind of hard. For example, you can't use first person on discussion posts even if it’s asking something personal. I actually thought she graded easier on papers than she did on the discussion posts. She is good about responding to emails. She is a tough grader, knocking you down if your APA paper header is the full title instead of an abbreviated one, if you use an "I" statement (even in assignments that asks your personal opinion!) and she accepts NO late work. NONE. You don’t get graded down for a late submission, she simply refuses to accept them, you get zero credit, unless you have prior approval for the late submission. In light of this, I find it particularly hypocritical that she has been an average of 4 weeks behind in her grading, if we are making mistakes on our papers, we have turned in weeks of assignments without knowing until she finally gets to our grades and we find out we have been marked down without explanation for all of them. You have to email her to find out what the problem is and she won't negotiate the grades despite the lack of timely feedback so you could have corrected yourself. I would not take her again. She will knock off points if you have ANY amount of similarities when you submit papers, even if the title is the same as another students (like if you just use the assignment title for your paper's title). She is a very slow grader. I could get through another class with her, but I would prefer not to. Catherine Carballeira: Intro to Addiction, SOCW 6103 #1: She’s okay, will deduct points for using websites; all references need to be from course readings or peer reviewed articles. Not too bad on APA, however she doesn’t believe in giving max points. Nicole Cavanagh: No class mentioned #1: Awesome Professor, would definitely take her class again #2: She is good at what she does, but is very strict about how a post is answered. She will harp on it all class and marks down after week 5 if you don’t respond as she asks. She thinks she is encouraging genuine conversation, I feel she is creating monkeys that know how to please her. I would have appreciated the allowance for genuine dialogue. Patricia Coccoma: Social Work Theory and Practice, SOCW 6060 #1: Very good professor, very fair and graded timely Douglas Crewes: No class mentioned #1: Nice person, fair grader, interacts on the posting board, gets back to emails. Low key, which is nice. Jandel Crutchfield: Human Behavior Social Environment, SOCW 6200 #1: She is very strict on due dates for discussions. She participates in discussions but not everyone will get a response from her. She provides comments for the grade received for discussions, you must follow the grading criteria. She does not provide comments on assignments on why she deducted points. She posts a weekly video about what we will learn for the week. She takes 4+ days to respond to emails. With all that, she’s understanding if you email her in advanced for reasoning of why you need an extension. Kevin Daniels: Human Behavior Social Environment, SOCW 6200 #1: He was easy, but gave no feedback. I never asked for any because he rarely took points off. I never had to email him so not sure how he is about replying. Cynthia Davis: Social Work Practice Research, SOCW 6301 #1: Great professor, very fair grader Annette Anderson-Engler: Changing Lives, Changing Societies, Intro SW, SOCW 6000 #1: She is really nice and as long as you do your work you are good! Krystal Finch: Advanced Clinical Social Work Practice II, SOCW – 6121 #1: She has been one of my worst teachers yet. She is super critical. Started out using the “wrong rubric” and went back and changed grades for the worse. She doesn’t think a response is a few sentences, and requires almost another discussion post. She took 11 points off my paper when I forget to italicize a journal. She is a Walden graduate, with a chip on her shoulder. There is a huge WIKI in this class and lots of useless papers about how that project is going. I will get my first B, run from her if can, she has almost killed my love for learning. Tami Frye: No class mentioned #1: Loved Dr. Fry, not difficult to work with as she works with you and was not a hard grader Angela Gaddis: Savass Georgiades: Human Behavior Social Environment, SOCW 6200 #1: He is very engaging and provides great feedback, He is strict on APA, but don’t dock a great deal of points. Very understanding and response immediately to emails. Great professor, would love to take him again. #2: Social Policy, Welfare & Change, SOCW 6351 Not a tough grader, often told me to use more evidence to back up my claims but only would take away maybe 1-2 points on some assignments. Did get full credit son some and got almost full credit on a 150-point paper. Overall, decent professor. Kathyanne Goodridge-Purnell: No class mentioned #1: Great professor, very knowledgeable and approachable, provides great feedback, love her! Dana Harmon: Psychopathology, SOCW 6090 #1: I was worried in the beginning and didn’t agree with some of her comments, but she loosened up after a while. I just stayed on top of my game and yes, he will dock points with the quickness. Surprisingly, I’ve done well in her class. Edward Hernandez: Social Policy: Analysis and Advocacy, SOCW 6361 #1: He was a fine professor, very laid back and didn’t give you a hard time about things, went with the flow. Great professor, do the work and you will get your points. Not a stickler for APA. Chenobia Webster-Hill: Advanced Clinical SW Practice II, SOCW 6121 #1: I really liked him, engaged, helpful, even spoke to me over the phone to explain a research concept I was having Hogan: Social Work Practice Research I, SOCW 6301 #1: I really liked him, engaged, helpful, even spoke to me over the phone to explain a research concept I was having trouble grasping. Always answered emails quickly and was engaged in all of our discussions. I love him, he's very engaging and is also lenient on grading. Huggins: No class mentioned #1: I had her for the spring quarter of 2014. She was difficult to reach, often didn't respond to emails and was rarely involved in discussions. Required the intervention of the Chair of the SW Department to get us caught up in class. Very little feedback on assignments. The timeliness of her grading got better as the semester went on. Very little response or appropriate feedback. She was condescending in e-mails and had to have an intervention with Dr. Brocksen. Camille Huggins: Social Policy, Welfare and Change, SOCW 6351 #1: In the beginning, she was MIA. Then she came to residency (she was my hotel neighbor!) and got more involved. I did go to Dr. Brocksen in the beginning as she was completely MIA, but Dr. Brocksen did not respond. Slowly, Dr. Huggins became more involved, but it was late in the semester. She is a full-time prof in the West Indies, so calling her is generally out the question. In fact, she listed her NYC number on the syllabus and of course, was nowhere to be found. If you can get another professor, I would probably recommend it. She was overall a fair grader which she should have been! Jan Ivery: Changing Lives, Changing Societies, Intro SW, SOCW 6000 #1: She was a really good professor! She was an easy grader and gave good feedback on assignments and discussions. #2: She was good with feedback and quick with grades. However, she tends to leave class Friday-Monday when she could be needed the most. That was frustrating. Kendall Johnson: Joanne Levine-Karger: Medical Social Work I #1: Great prof!essor! Engaged, responds to e-mail and discussion posts. I learned a lot from her in Med Social Work I. I wish I had her for II. Very fair grader. Would highly recommend. Kimberly Kick: Social Work Practice Research I, SOCW 6301 #1: Great professor. Make sure you read the syllabus and pay attention to number of post per week and that they must be on different days. Does not mark off for being late as long as it is in during the week. (Except when you don't contribute on separate days). Provides good feedback and contributes to discussion board. Kenneth Larrimore: No class mentioned #1: He is a fair grader and is quick to respond to emails Mary Larscheid: Advanced Clinical Social Work Practice II, SOCW 6121 #1: She is awesome! She is fair and explains things when they are incorrect. She is strict in APA but a great professor. She also created much of the content for Walden social work program. Lindy Lewis: Human Behavior Social Environment, SOCW 6200 #1: He is a good professor! You can reach him by email or even phone. I have called him a few times with no problems. His grading isn't too harsh. #2: Social Policy, Welfare and Change, SOCW 6351 Great professor, fair grader and very accessible by email or phone. Andridia Mapson: Diversity, Human Rights, Social Policy, SOCW 6051 #1: She was easy, fair and sometimes engaging, slow to grade at times, but not an APA stickler and one of the easiest classes I’ve taken. Not a great deal of feedback. Marson: No class mentioned: #1: *coughs* She is my mentor and do know that she's TOUGH on APA. You will earn every bit of your grade in her class, she's a tough cookie! She did explain that she's tough because she wants her students to know it. #2: Easy professor, however super slow with grading and provides no feedback. Make sure to use APA and provide multiple sources and you should be good. Aileen McCabe-Maucher: Human Behavior Social Environment, SOCW 6200 #1: Great professor. Fast and fair grader, very interactive with students and not an APA stickler. #2: Psychopathology, SOCW 6090 Great professor. Fast and fair grader, very interactive with students and not an APA stickler. Janella Melius: Social Work Practice Research I, SOCW 6301 #1: She is experienced with research from what she told me. However, she never really shared all her knowledge with our class. As I have experienced in most classes, you will teach yourself. Unfortunately, most people in SW don't seem to enjoy research. Basically, Research I is about the concepts. You don't actually crunch the numbers. I am not one to mind numbers like many social workers. I actually would have enjoyed applying the concepts using SPSS or something like it. Dr. Melius seemed to be strict with grading and time. I was lucky in that I did not have to ask for any extensions so I don't know how she would have been. I did feel she took off points very randomly and I called her once to ask her about 2 assignments. Honestly, I still do not know why the points were taken off. She also criticized my "classmates" and recommended that I talk to them about the quality of work. She seemed quite frustrated with our class. She said most of my classmates posts were inadequate and I had better tell them to get it together or they would not be passing the course. If you can get a different professor (I tried with no luck), I would try to get Dr. Janet Wood for this class. In the end, everything worked out ok for me, but she definitely makes you work for your grade. I have not heard anyone else comment on her, so I am very curious. #2: Social Work Practice Research I, SOCW 6301 She is tough, run as fast as you can, barely passed the course. Brittany Miskowiec: Superv, Ldshp, & Admin SW Org, SOCW 6070 #1: Good feedback, fair grader, present in the classroom discussion board, posts a weekly update on the board and in our emails. Nice person. #2: Very easy going professor, not a stickler for APA. Responds quickly to emails. As long as you post your discussion and respond, you will get max points. Peggy Morrison: Psychopathology, SOCW 6090 #1: Fair grader at times, will dock points for not applying theories to support your diagnosis; fast with grading, very engaging with students and ask different questions based off your discussion post so that each student isn’t receiving the same question. Will dock points for not responding to peers; strict about due dates so make sue work is submitted on time; PLEASE use Safeassign as she will give a 0 if the similarity report is over 35%. Word of advice, stay under 20% and you will be good to go. This class has a team project and you will do video presentation addressing a client with PTSD, Schizophrenia, etc; there are also two Power Point presentations on case studies. Overall, nice professor and definitely a challenging class. #2: Diverity, Human Rights, Social Justice, SOCW 6051 She was tough and strict on APA. We disagreed on a “white privilege” issue and she took it personal and decided to start docking points after giving me max points on the previous discussions. I had to drop her class in order to not fail as I knew it had become personal for her. Chuck Odiah: Social Policy, Welfare & Change, SOCW 6351 #1: Great professor, gives excellent feedback and not a hard grader. Responds to emails and allows additional time if you have any emergencies. #2: I did not like him! He had a thought on how things were to be done, his way. His communication was poor and took forever. He lives in South Africa, so is on an opposite time zone to most in class. He often blamed computer issues for why he couldn’t respond, but when I take a difficult class, I would like a professor who has the ability to respond. He would only respond in class to all, never answered my emails. Ivan Page: No class mentioned #1: Decent professor Agatha Parks-Savage: Vicarious Trauma: Elective. SOCW 6333 #1: Not a fair graded; very strict about due dates and time of day; no kind words and very judgmental, APA is her favorite word. This class has a 2-page weekly paper worth 12 points. There is also a 10-page paper due on the Thursday of the 11-week, which is worth only 20 points. Even if you receive all of the points allotted for this class, it is at the professor discretion what grade she gives you based on whatever percentage points she allots to every paper you present. Professor Savage takes away points for lateness, 6 points per day depending on how she feels but she is always late grading. If you are not working and doing one class I would recommend this class, however try it with another professor you might learn something from this class, otherwise, I would not recommend this class. Plummer: No class mentioned #1: Awesome, helpful, engaged with the class, uses her personal work/education/field experiences to help teach, which I really enjoy. Alisha Powell: Psychopathology, SOCW 6090 #1: Awesome, great feedback, made you feel at ease about not being certain about having the correct diagnosis. She always had something positive to say (even to the responses in class that were pretty bad). Highly recommend! Adam Quinn: Social Work Research Practice 1, SOCW 6301 #1: Great professor, easy grader, very nice professor, you will love him. Valerie Radu: No class mentioned #1: Hard grader, took forever to grade assignments, however, she provides feedback. Diane Raines: Psychopathology, SOCW 6090 #1: Fair grader. Very responsive to posting board, papers, and e-mails. Professor is very supportive of students academically and personally. If you are in need of a Social Work mentor, she may be a good fit. She is not as tough on APA format as some professors and likes to see personal experiences/remarks in work. #2: Advance Clinical Social Work Practice I, SOCW 6111 I second every word said before, she is great personally as well as professionally. She is nonjudgmental even when she is critiquing your work. Great, great feedback on discussion and on assignments. Debbie Rice: Social Work Field Education I & II, SOCW 6500/6510 #1: Awesome instructor, helpful, understanding! May take a little time grading papers but gives great feedback and is a fair grader. Is a stickler for APA when it comes to papers (just follow Walden's APA Template), however encourages students to give their feedback (thoughts & experiences) during discussion board posts. Is very responsive to emails or calls. If work is not turned in by midnight, no sweat, as long as the work is turned in by the following morning. She was also at Residency 2, awesome personality! John Riolo: Social Work Practice Research I, SOCW 6301 #1: Dr. Riolo is great. He gives good feedback and is a fair grader. He responds quickly to emails. Emmett Roberts: Human Behavior Social Environment, SOCW 6200 #1: Tough grader. Not really good at responding to emails. Will dock points for late discussions and papers, otherwise an overall okay professor. #2: Human Behavior Social Environment, SOCW 6200 Overall, just an okay professor. Was not very responsive and sometimes he would interject with a valuable comment in the discussion boards, but generally not too involved. He is a private practice practitioner in Oklahoma so when I had him it may have been his first time teaching. If you get him, you will survive. I think he gave me a fair grade, but he was not terribly engaged (unfortunately, this is trend I have seen among many profs). Diane Rullo: Psychopathology, SOCW 6090 #1: If you can avoid her, do so. She is very detailed oriented and expects students to already know DSM-5 instead of teaching. Does not empower you and treats you like you’re stupid. Has a somewhat “better than you” attitude. Makes the classroom environment stressful. She is very strict. Run unless you have knowledge of DSM-5 because she doesn’t play. Linda Samuel: Social Policy, Welfare & Change, SOCW 6351 #1: Very easy class, professor was engaging and wasn’t strict on APA. Didn’t dock points for being late with responses as long as you contact her to explain the situation. Easy grader and easy class. Mashooq Salehin: Social Policy, Welfare & Change, SOCW 6351 #1: He posts an intro in each weeks’ discussion. He is really good about feedback. He posts good comments on papers and discussion posts. He is a prompt grader and will respond to emails straight away. Does not take points off for late assignments, just make sure to email him why because he’s very understanding. #2: Social Work Research I, SOCW 6301: Easy and fast grader Schiller: Human Behavior Social Environment, SOCW 6200 #1: Requires responses to be concise, clinical and evenly full of references. DO NOT rely on literary writing devices, techniques and especially personal anecdotes. I went from failing his class to receiving a HARD earned A after listening to his advice and playing catchup. My 1st and 2nd week I had failed every assignment (while carrying a 3.98 GPA) until he and I spoke on the phone; then I got on the right page... he was very helpful and humbly kind when we spoke. He is responsive to email requests and off duty hours conversation. #2: Social Work Field Education I & II, SOCW 6500/6510 Requires all answers to be technical and by the book. Does not like personal experience or knowledge added to discussions post or papers. APA to the extreme!!! Extremely tough grader! I will drop class or transfer if ever have as a professor again. Shortridge: Human Behavior Social Environment, SOCW 6200 #1: She's good, she does not participate much more than a one liner in response to your discussion; quick grader, no points off for late submissions, just email her why. One liner feedback on papers. Responds to emails straight away. Understanding, very willing to work with you about any issues you might be having on getting things submitted. Always responds to emails but responses are usually short Oren Shtayermman: Social Work Practice Research I, SOCW 6301 #1: Fair and easy grader, not a stickler for APA, but will deduct a few points for citing improperly. Very engaging and provides food for thought prior to start of weekly discussion. Very easy and responsive instructor. Made my anxiety over Research completely disappear. Gilbert Singletary: Essential Skills Social Work Practice, SOCW 6101 #1: He is really good about feedback and very active in discussions. He will post videos sometimes instead of typing responses to discussion posts which was nice and he is really good about responding to emails. Will take off 1 point for each day late, but if past 3 days, email him why. Understanding. We started out rough, but if you are having trouble he will work with you to make sure that you both end up on the same page. He also likes to call his students midway through the quarter to see how things are going. #2: Human Behavior Social Environment, SOCW 6200 Fair grader, likes to talk about himself at times (he’s a lawyer, author, LCSW, and has an MBA). He and I got off to a rocky start because I became sick and was in the ER overnight and I sent him my ER note and he still deducted late points. I emailed him and although the grade remained the same, I still finish the course with an A. He is a stickler for APA, but overall, an okay professor. Earl Smith: #1: Input Kim Stansbury: Human Behavior Social Environment, SOCW 6200 #1: I liked her and got the opportunity to talk to her at Residency. The only thing I was 50/50 about was that in her responses, she always just copied and pasted for each person, so everyone had the same response. Sometimes I was okay with that, other times I wasn’t. I know there were a couple other people who weren’t a fan of that. Overall, easy grader. Andre Stevenson: No class mentioned #1: He is horrible, isn’t present and gives basic answers to all and never answers emails. His grading is picky on stupid stuff, but he won’t answer emails on what you need to do. He lives in South Africa so the time zone isn’t fun either. I just had him and barely pulled off an A. His saving grace is you can say anything in a DQ as long as it’s cited and makes most sense. Full marks! Regina Varin-Mignano: Villagrana: Essential Skills Social Work Practice, SOCW 6101 #1: She was kind of a hard grader. She did not give much feedback at first until I asked. Once she started giving feedback, I was able to pull my grade up and understand what she was looking for. She will respond to emails. Karen Watkins: Social Work Field Education I & II, SOCW 6500/6510 #1: Hands down the best professor I’ve had! I learned so much from Dr. Watkins during field and at Residency. She is so approachable, doesn’t judge and takes time out for her students. She is not a stickler for APA and as long as your blogs makes sense, she will work with you. I enjoyed our interaction and her feedback during my teleconference with my professor in trying to assist me with possible Field 3&4 placements. Can’t wait to take her again for Field 3 &4!! Weiss: Human Behavior Social Environment, SOCW 6200 #1: BEST Professor I've had, so awesome, he's VERY, VERY lenient and doesn't take points off for late posts or papers. Juanita White: No class mentioned #1: She is amazing and is always willing to assist. You will love her! #2: Social Policy, Welfare & Change, SOCW 6351 Very easy and fair grader and one of the best professors I’ve had. LaTonya Noel-Wilburn: Social Work Theory and Practice, SOCW 6060 #1: She’s a great teacher, sometimes slow in grading, not a stickler for APA and doesn’t provide a lot of feedback. Debra Wilson: Social Work Theory and Practice, SOCW 6060 #1: She is an easy grader and not strict on APA. She is very slow with grading as it took 4 weeks to get my first grade which was perfect because they were all max points. Very easy class, little to no engaging from the professor though. Felicia Wilson: Changing Lives, Changing Societies, Intro SW, SOCW 6000 #1: She was pretty good and a fair professor Shanika Wilson: Advanced Clinical Social Work Practice I, SOCW 6111 #1: She is an awesome teacher. I pretty much got full credit on everything and she provides great feedback on assignments. Final paper is 8-10 pages about a group of interest (adults, family, elderly, etc.) focused around a topic of your interest. Takeisha Wilson: Social Work Theory and Practice, SOCW 6060 #1: She is fair on grading however takes a long time to get assignments and grades back. It was several weeks in before I got my first grade. She does respond to emails quickly and she generally responds to one person on the discussion board. She does not give extensions on assignments at all. Angela Wood: Changing Lives, Changing Societies, Intro SW, SOCW 6000 #1: Really great feedback. Excellent about responding to emails. Good participation in discussions. No points docked for late submissions if send an you email regarding the circumstances. #2: Social Work Practice Research I, SOCW 6301 Takes points off for late submissions, 1 point per day, but still understanding if you keep in contact about it. Not as good with participation in discussion, however, does respond to some, but not all students initial posts. #3: Changing Lives, Changing Societies, Intro SW, SOCW 6000 Ditto to above feedback. I had Dr. Wood her first semester (and mine) at Walden. She was very responsive then and engaged in the discussions. She is my second favorite professor with Dr. Adams being my first. I really wanted to take her for research, but advising would not allow me to change. She is busy with a full-time job as a regional mental health director in LA, but I feel she takes time for her class. I would definitely take one of her classes again if I had the chance. Darrin Wright: Forensics, SOCW 6051 #1: Great Professor!!!! Very communicative, easy grader, will explain points loss, very understanding about life happenings when contacted. Love how he asks questions to get you to go just a little deeper for your understanding. Colette Duciaume-Wright: SW Prac Children & Families II, SOCW 6215 #1: Great Professor!!!! Easy grader Jane Yank: Social Work Practice Research I, SOCW 6301 #1: I had a different experience with Yank. I just finished Res 1 with her and passed with an A. She requires that you work for your grade and is a stickler for APA, but her feedback and guidance with the class was great! When I sent her an email she always responded back quickly. Also, she didn't go specifically by blackboard but sent edited instructions every Sunday to breakdown and tell us exactly how she wanted us to respond. If you did that, you always scored well. #2:My favorite teacher yet. She changed the syllabus every week but had a weekly “live meeting” to go over the weeks assignment. Emails quickly. Great feedback. Dr. Yank makes you work hard, but wants you to learn the information and give opportunities for you to ask questions. Highly recommend.
