1. SWIFT MT210: Notice to receive
1.1 Introduction
This document indicates the Rabobank specific content for fields within the MT210 standard format
structure. If the field is not mentioned in the underlying document, the standard SWIFT descriptions is
leading, indicated in the user handbook on www.swift.com.
Note: prior to sending an MT210 message a separate agreement is required.
1.2 General information
The formal name for this report format is “MT210 Notice to Receive”. This is an international format used
as an advance notice to the account servicing institution that it will receive funds to be credited to the
Sender's account. Even if the actual funds arrive after cut-off time, Rabobank can still apply the
requested value date.
Rabobank can receive MT210 messages 24/7.
This message type is:

sent by an account owner to one of its account servicing institutions.

sent by a party authorised by the account owner to one of its account servicing institutions
In order to credit funds to your account with the requested value, even if they are received after cut-off
time, Rabobank must be able to match the following fields in the MT210 you send, with the
corresponding fields in the MT103 Rabobank receives:

If Rabobank cannot match on these four fields, you may be charged a penalty. Please instruct your
bank or counterparty which Rabobank’s correspondent to use. For instance, if you instruct a bank
to transfer funds to your Rabobank account by means of an MT103, then fill field 56a with the
Rabobank’s correspondent your bank must use.
