Physics motion Scavenger Hunt

advertisement
Designing a Scavenger Hunt
1. randomly placing six pieces of masking tape on the floor of the classroom.
2. Mark letters A through F on the tape pieces.
3. Identify six places in the room that you wish to be destinations for the scavenger hunt. Some ideas include the
trash can, recycle bin, pencil sharpener, light switch, and flag. An alternative is to hide objects such as stickers or
small toys at various locations. Start with letter A and measure out a path to get from A to one of the destinations.
Directions can be written in sentence form or as coordinates (x,y).
4. Write a question relating to the destination. It may be helpful to tell students the direction to face once they have
reached a destination.
5. Directions in sentence form can contain more than two legs of the path to go around obstacles.
