Zodiac signs
Astrology is the study of how the sun, moon, stars, and planets are supposed to affect
people's lives. Many people throughout the world believe in astrology. But there is no
scientific evidence to support its claims. Many people enjoy astrology as a form of
entertainment.
Astrology is based on the idea that the position of heavenly bodies can affect a person's life.
Astrologers study these positions by drawing a chart called a horoscope. A horoscope is like
a diagram, or picture, of the sky. It shows the position of the planets at a certain time of the
year.
In astrology, the moon, Pluto, and the sun are called planets along with Mercury, Venus,
Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Each planet represents a force that affects
people in a certain way. The zodiac is a band of stars that seems to encircle Earth. The
zodiac is divided into 12 sections called the signs of the zodiac. The surface of Earth is also
divided into 12 sections called houses.
A birth horoscope shows the relative positions of planets, signs, and houses at the moment
of a person's birth. Astrologers believe that such a horoscope can show many things about a
person. It can show whether that person is cheerful or serious, strong or weak, brave or
cautious, and many other things. Many people even believe a horoscope can show what will
happen to a person in the future.
